General Conditions of Hiper Rent a Car

  • Vehicles can not be transported away from each of the Islands.
  • All charges are with taxes, in the Balearics there is a 16% VAT. Local tax IVA will be increase to 18% from July 1st 2010.
  • Prices and models may vary without prior information. Prices applicable on the date of the booking.
  • MAXIMA DURATION OF THE CONTRACT: The maximum duration will be of 30 days. For periods superiors, it will have to realise a new contract of rent.
  • DRIVING LICENCE: At least ONE year of antiquity and, a minimum of 21 years old for the groups A, A1, B, B1, C and K, and two years of antiquity and 25 years for the rest of groups.  For all categories 80 years.
  • CREDIR CARD: Customer must hold valid credit card. It must belong to the person who holds it. No debit card will be accepted. 
  • For returning the vehicle after the agreed time, there is a 9€ suplement per fraction equal o superior to one hour.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

Unlimited mileage
Rental Hire periods are calculated on a 24 hour basis.
SuperCDW The SCDW do not cover all risks, only exclude payment of an excess. Following damages are excluded from the SCDW coverage:

  • Lost or stolen keys.
  • Damage to the underside of the vehicle.
  • Damage to the wheel or to the rim.
  • Tow truck charge when it is the client’s fault.
  • Damage to the radio-cassete-cd.
  • Use of the wrong fuel.
  • Damage to the window glasses or the windscreen.
  • Damage to the car locks.
  • Damage to the upholstery.
  • Damage to the tyre (puncture of a tyre).
  • Lost or stolen car parts (spare wheel, jack, etc). If they are stolen the client must report it to the police, if not the cost will be charged to the client.
  • Dangerous driving or  under the effects of alcohol or drugs.
  • ANY DAMAGES TO THE VEHICLE THAT ARE NOT ON AN ACCIDENT REPORT. When receiving the vehicle the client is given an accident report and instructions on how to fill in all details.
    Paying the SCDW does not exclude the client, under any concept, from doing this therefore if the accident report is not filled in the damages will be charged directly to the client.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

Petrol, towing trucks, parking or traffic fines, loss or damage to the key, tyres, hupcabs and aerials.

Fuel Rates do not include fuel, vehicles are always delivered with a full tank. Upon collection you will be requested to pay a petrol deposit. In case that client may not return the vehicle with the full tank, the local company may charge the client for the fuel consumption plus an additional charge for the refuelling service.
In case you do not produce a major credit card, upon collection of your car you will be requested to leave a deposit between 180€ and 360€ in Mallorca and Minorca, and 300€ and 500€ in Ibiza, depending on the vehicle size.

ADDITIONAL EXTRAS

It is possible that you is interested in adding secondary drivers to your rent or to reserve special seats for children...

Baby seat / booster 3€ + VAT per day (Maximum 18€ + VAT).
Trunks 3€ + VAT per day (Maximum 18€ + VAT).
Suzuki Soft top deposit 600€.
Third driver 2€ + VAT per day.
One way rental. 30€ + VAT. Free from 7 days.
Delivery in Ciutadella Port. 25€ + VAT. Select ofice Cala'n Bosch (from 8:00a.m. to 13:00p.m. and from 17:00p.m. to 20:00p.m.). Out of hours deliveries available with a supplement of 18€ + VAT.
Out of hours deliveries 18€ + VAT. Free from 7 days.
Tyres and Glass insurance Optional Insurance. Minimun 12€ +  VAT. From 7 days 2€/day + IVA.
Regular GPS 5€/day VAT included + 175€ excess.
GPS Superiot Tomtom 7€/day VAT included + 175€ excess.
24 and 31 of December Service only until 22:00p.m.

IBIZA

Following requeriments must be fullfilled in order to accept reservations:

1. Address where customer will be staying in Ibiza will be provided with the reservation data.
2. Cellular phone at customer can be reached while staying in Ibiza will be provider with the reservation data.
3. Credit card is mandatory in all cases, so customer must be warned to hold it..
4. No replacement vehicle will be given to customers having had accident for wich they are responsable.

SCHEDULES

Airport 24h. Out of hours deliveries available (22:00p.m. to 08:00a.m.) with a supplement of 18€ + VAT for rentals of lees than 7 days.
Ibiza Airport From 01-11-2009 to 24-03-2010 the 08:00a.m. to 21:00p.m, out of hours deliveries not available.
Ofices from 08:00a.m. to 13:00p.m.. and the 17:00p.m. to 20:00p.m.
